PennMUSH Translation Project

PennMUSH can currently properly use 8-bit international character sets (for accented characters) (in 1.7.4), international time and date formatting (in 1.7.4), and localized string collation (in 1.7.5).

But the most compelling feature will be translated versions of the PennMUSH server messages. To this end, translation teams are being formed!

If you're a native speaker (or very fluent) in a language and would like to join a translation team, please contact Javelin by email to dunemush@pennmush.org, and let him know. Translators have no deadlines and no one translator is expected to do the whole job for their language -- you do as much as you can, when you can.

Joining a translation team implies disclaimer of all copyright interest in your translations of PennMUSH, without limitation.

The following languages have teams, which you can join, or you can start your own for a different language:

(Jurica Palijan, who appears in all teams, is engaged in cross-translation troubleshooting as well as leading the Croatian translation.)

If you're already on a translation team, you can sign in and do some translating using the web-based interface, or you can use the translation project discussion board.
